Had to replace my air conditioning unit. Howe made it easy and simple. Guy came to my house and was professional and courteous. Hopefully I don't have to replace my air conditioning unit again but if I do I will use Howe. Got another price quote before replacing and Howe was cheapest.
After years of keeping fingers crossed and hoping to be able to “get through one more summer”, my wife and I finally had to replace our air conditioning and furnace. This was not a small expense for us. After talking to three companies in the Sioux Falls area, we decided to go with Howe, Inc. While they weren’t the cheapest they were certainly competitive, offered the quality brands we were considering, and represented the best value for the money. They were professional at every turn: they responded to our request for an estimate promptly and courteously; they gave us several options to fit our budget; their proposal was clear and understandable and contained no ‘hidden charges.’ Because we had to leave for a vacation, we asked them to come a day earlier than originally scheduled. The installers showed up on time,conducted themselves in a polite and professional manner, worked all day and made sure all the debris was completely removed and the area clean. One of the technicians even stayed on for an hour past ‘quitting time’ to make sure that the air conditioning unit was operating to specs. They even provided us with the forms and paperwork--completely filled out--for us to qualify for a rebate from Xcel Energy. We would definitely recommend Howe Heating & Plumbing to anyone considering repair or replacement of heating and air conditioning.
Howe has serviced our home a handful of times since we purchased it a few years back. Whether it was an emergency replacement of our water heater or yearly service of the furnace, they have been timely, cost effective and friendly. Well, i officially don't recommend Howes for you home repair needs. They installed my AC so I can't plug in my washer and dryer. They state an electrician came today to fix, but when I got home it was not fixed..... 3 days later. They also did not close my attic shut, I can't find the door for the attic to do it myself, and they left my closet full of insulation debris and they did not put my shelves back up in my closet either (attic is in my closet). All of which I was told was done today. So now I have to go another day of no laundry and clothes all over my room since I can't hang my shelves back up. Giving 2 stars because at least the technicians were nice the first time they installed my new furnace/AC.
