Has a dog park, walking trail and a small lake. Very nice area.
Some say that September 17th is 'Wives Day'. So that makes it a remarkable day in my book. So to celebrate the occasion I journeyed upon the map to Family Park on Ellis Rd & Sands St. Of interest is the logistics of linguistics that converge here. Meaning that this spot on the Willow Creek heritage of the hairline of Iowa & just west of Sioux Falls marks the star known as 'Markab', a blue-white star of the second magnitude that is the third brightest star in the constellation Pegasus. And by using my German/Swedish-Polish Global Positioning System I honed in on the dashboard display which showed me a type of Golden honey chest plate of armor with a wing like skirt of feathers that hung from wooden armature supports. There was even an array of color coordinated marbles denoting what perhaps an astronomer might say were the stars that sailors navigate by. The AI of the GPS mentioned that it's name was Sue and that she was from the Hebrew moon IO and that what I was actually seeing was the word "Awake, recover consciousness". Huh... then Sue said something in regards to the road and that in language construction the word Einen ~ German for 'unite' was part of a Family Park planogram. I think I'll go back to school one day so that I can understand terms like U+05D6. And why the thread of U+05D4 is like my grandmothers maiden name Halter. Sue says that they add up just like 12 marks on a clock. And that in Gematria 'He' ~ the U+05D4 thread represents a hand. A hand which of course may command the knights upon a chessboard.
Great spot in close to town. Good productive fishing lake, kids with worms under bobbers can catch panfish and small trout all day from shore. Advanced anglers can catch good size fish if they are willing to walk to some of the out of the way spots. Great fenced in dog park, very busy most days. Also has a large off-leash area for sporting dogs and kite flying.
This is a beautiful Park tucked away just on the northwest edge of Sioux Falls. It has a good size lake that you can use kayaks or paddle boards or canoes anything without a motor on. There is no swimming area or scuba diving allowed. There are restrooms available. There are 4 good size fishing docks and the entire Lake can be fished from the shore easily. It is a fun place to bring a family to fish for Bass and channel catfish, Sunfish, bluegills etc and late in the fall as soon as it gets cold enough they stock it with trout. There is no play area or play structure but there are a few benches around the lake as well on all the docks and a few picnic tables near the parking lot/main dock area. There is also a good size completely gated off-leash dog park with one side for smaller dogs and the other side for larger dogs. A lot of people visit the dog park especially around the time that most people get off work although I have been there as late as 9:15 and there's been at least two other dogs there for my dog to play with and I've never had any sort of issue with another dog (or owner) while there with my dog, I'm thankful everyone I've met out there has always been very friendly. There are handicapped parking spaces available at the dog park area and at the lake dock area and a handicapped accessible bathroom. The whole place is very easy to get around with a very smooth, wide gravel trail that goes all the way around the lake that is perfect for walking or biking.
Fun for pets and kids!!and friendly people go there!
