The hotel is clean, the service is great. The rooms are a bit aged but I saw some rooms being updated.
Center Inn really became a home away from home throughout this year for my boyfriend, our infant daughter, & myself. In late March, I had been diagnosed with APL LEUKEMIA. Being from a neighboring state, our lives were torn asunder. I was slated for treatment, labs, & EKGs 5 days a week with a 4 hour round trip required to go home and back again. Thanks to Center Inn; that trip was only made Friday and Sunday afternoons. Our first stay soon became an extended stay throughout the spring and summer. The first thing you are sure to notice; if you're a patient, or caregiver of a patient at Avera Campus... The convenient location can't be beat! I was always within walking distance of my appointments. Also, recreational activities, shopping, and dining establishments were just a hop, skip, or jump away!☺ The staff have always been as friendly as an old friend welcoming us into their home... They're always kind, caring, respectful, & attentive to our needs & concerns. The rooms are clean, inviting,
Door to our room was ajar when we got back to hotel from an event. Luckily nothing was missing, but still an unsettling experience.
& beautifully redecorated/updated. The new beds are very comfortable, as are the new armchairs provided in the single-bed rooms. (The opinion of this person, so new to the many types of pain that comes with having cancer, and the treatments involved.) The free Wi-Fi has been very helpful to have available, as well as the efficient parking! Their continental breakfast is fresh & delicious... The dining area is always clean and neat. About the only lacking or deficiency we experienced was a rough night in one of the "old" rooms, the bed of which, left me feeling crippled the next day. However: when my boyfriend spoke with them that afternoon, we were quickly accommodated with a swap to one of the updated rooms. There was no extra charge, no hassle, and no hard feelings!☺ As I said, they really want you to be comfortable, happy, and enjoy your stay. All & all... Not a bad place to call home, when you're away from home!!
