Reserved a compact car months before arrival. Gave us keys to a square mini-van without saying a word about giving us a different CLASS of vehicle. Went back in and asked for one of the many CARS we passed on the way to the van. He told us they weren't "clean". Well, it turned out neither was our van. We ended up having to throw away the last renter's garbage so that we wouldn't be charged for it. Told us the gas mileage would be the same. It was INCREDIBLY lower than a compact car's. That is unforgivable when you are on a budget for your trip. What good is a reservation if it doesn't hold a certain type of car for you?

One last question- where is the owner or the CEO of the budget at this location? How is this allowed to go on for so long? Do you not care that your own people are telling customers to go somewhere else if they don't like what they are getting? Really....
I had an absolutely aweful expwrience. When I told the person behind the counter that it took a long time to get to the counter because there was only one person working, he asked me if I would like to rent from another car rental company...believe me that's what I would have done if I did not prebook with them already.
I told him I didn't want any of that, and I drew a line through it, he declared that he would have to 'Re Do' all the paperwork, since I wasn't allowed to write on the sheet.
DO NOT rent from this place!!! After returning the car in perfect condition, I just handed the keys in. Big Mistake. A month later I received a letter from the crooks at Purco Fleet Services (SF Budget's Claims Co) saying I owed $900 for damages to the car. The only thing the lady could say was "well you drove the car 1200 miles, how do you know nothing happened to the car." After receiving pictures that clearly showed nothing wrong and countless threatening letters, she accidently sent me the inspection report when I turned in the car that said no damage and signed by the inspector. They are starting to back off, but this caused me so much strife. Moral of the story: DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET at the SIOUX FALLS AIRPORT!!!!!!!
Renting from the Budget counter in Sioux Falls, SD - not uncommon, as the in-laws live nearby.
Instead, I am annoyed that this guy was trying to essentially steal from me, in SLOW MOTION, to boot.
Where do they find these people?
Had the agent done it right in the first place, and ASKED me if I wanted all the extras, I would be writing a nice review.
After realizing Hertz was nearly twice as expensive as the other rental companys, I decided to cancel my rental agreement before I took possetion of the vehicle. Hertz Rent a a car at the Sioux Falls airport didn't even rent me a vehicle but put an $821 authorization (hold) on my credit card over the Christmas holidays. I tried at least a dozen times to get the authorization manually released,, but was given a different excuse for why they couldn't each time. Bottom line, DON'T RENT FROM HERTZ AT THE SIOUX FALLS AIRPORT.
Took approximately :30 mins to get the transaction complete, as the printer was broken, and everything was done by hand. The agent automatically decided to sign me up for everything under the sun: insurance / refueling service, etc.
Needless to say I rent cars a lot and you have lost one solid customer. I don't care how cheap it is to rent from them - my advice to anyone thinking of renting from here DON'T DO IT.
