Emily's facility is always clean and tidy. She is professional and approachable, easily switches from play time to communicating with me, and now that our time with her is finished, we all miss her very much. Now, I love my child, but I also LIKE him too.
We have loved and enjoyed our time with Emily. We utilized her play therapy skills for my son from age 5 through 6 1/2. Although we LOVE our son, we weren't liking him very much. He exhibited random tantrums and excessive sensitivities to his environment. As parents, we were in over our heads and needed help.
Emily encompasses a broad range of resourceful insights. Not only does she offer great therapeutic care for children; but their parents and daycare providers as well.
Emily is the first professional that really made progress with our daughter. Our daughter loves going to her appointments and she gets so much out of them. I highly recommend Emily!
We created some goals for my son, and once he met his goals, he "graduated" out of his time with Emily. I've enjoyed the results from this process so much, that I hesitated to move on, but Emily assured me that we were ready. This particular season is complete for us, but I wouldn't be surprised if other seasons of my sons growth bring about new challenges. If so, Emily will be an excellent resource and ally.
With help from our sons teacher, we researched and found Emily, and what a blessing she has been! We would drive 90 miles each direction to play with Emily, and our experience with her was well worth the time and effort. We saw immediate improvement in behavior, and were able to fine-tune some other issues over time as well. I call Emily our "child whisperer" because she has an innate understanding of who he is, what makes him tick, and how to help him, and our family as a whole, move forward. She was willing to employ a team approach, and to communicate openly with me, with teachers, and others working with my son.
