Great hospital
Penalized after coming under financial duress for making regular payments because they use the origin statement to determine financial assistance eligibility. God helps them who help themselves but not if you've been working on it too long-- Pharisees of Christian values is who they are.
I had thyroid cancer and had to have surgery. Their billing practices are horrible. I think I received at least 5 different invoices for one hospital stay.
They scared me into thinking I have a pulmonary disease and pressured me into examining it with CT scans and biopsy procedures, assuring me that it would be covered under my insurance, but it was not. The results of all the work done were inconclusive, and the insurance of course did not cover it. I attempted to seek financial assistance through them, but they denied me and put my account into collections. They charged an exorbitant amount of interest while in collections and filed a small claims suit against me. I had to apply for and max out multiple credit cards to pay it off and avoid a judgment, and it ended up ruining my credit anyway. If you can avoid Avera, do so at all costs.
