This school is very good, but sometimes it can be very hard to deal with some of the kids who are roasting me and other kids. The teachers are doing nothing about it. But so far in 8th grade is doing good. My experience in whittier middle school was a very fun experience. Would rate it a 4.
Most diverse school in Sioux Falls, by far. One of the better music programs. Principal knows *every* student by name, including the 6th graders. Least amount of violence and drug problems of all SF middle schools. VERY happy to live in the Whittier neighborhood.
My two grandsons just started this year and if I wanted them to get yelled and sceamed at I would have put them in a military school I think that is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ALSO THERE ARE FIGHTS IN THE BATHROOM ALL THE TIME I THINK THEY SHOULD STOP CHATTING SO MUCH IN THE HALLWAYS AND START MONITORING THE BATHROOMS MORE
Whittier is a Good school if your a Good Kid but you have to put your part by not misbehaving for example there are fights in the Bathroom but make it Not happen we have to be CHILL!!!! To be Good Students teachers get stressed out and they have a Hard day but the teachers should just give kids a pencil there in school they can't go out of school and then go to Walmart and get a Pencil because No we are in school to BUSY!!!
Grandson in Mrs Grogan 3rd period. Grandson asked her to borrow pencil. She told him only if he takes off his shoe. She said this way he would not to forget to give her back her pencil. She was serious and my grandson sat in class with his shoe off with all the kids laughing at him. He wanted to crawl in a hole and die. When I called Principal Fink all he cared about was why my grandson didn't have a pencil in the first place. This is what we have molding our children. This scares me and it should scare you! Mr Fink and Mrs Grogan need to find employment that better suits them as molding our children into strong, happy, capable adults is not what they should be doing. My rating would be a negitive if that was possible.
