After spending a week and a half driving cross country and camping I was in search for a beer. We camped across the street at the KOA, and this was conveniently located across the street. I called over to see if they were dog friendly (they are) so my dog and I headed on over for a couple beers. Staff was super friendly, and the beer was great. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. If you're in the area give this place a look!
Great beer (I realized when I arrived that it was my second time having their beer as my in-laws bought me a six-pack of their IPA on their last trip through town). Friendly staff and a great spot. Easy on and off the highway if you need to keep making good time.
Service was fine the other night, pizza/bread place next door is solid. Beers are not good, being a beer guy who's traveled the nation and world sampling and comparing styles. Super malty IPAs, the IPA is 7% and the imperial was 7.5%? Could barely taste the hops through the malts. Vienna lager was the best one on tap. That one is a 4 star beer not super impressed overall. Location is cool.
Neat place for a happy hour after work get together
I was looking for a spot to stop for lunch, and decided to grab a Subway sandwich (half mile south of he brewery) and bring it to Fernson.
Great brewery, doing some very good work. And amazingly convenient stop if you're just passing through.
Cool brewery in Sioux Falls. Most of the beer is good, but I had one that had some serious flaws and off flavors. I believe it was a barrel aged double saison, so it's possible there was infection from the barrel. Overall though, a cool taproom with friendly staff.
